This role allowed her to improve clinical standards on a larger scale, creating protocols that emphasized preventive healthcare and customer service. “We wanted each facility to feel like a safe, welcoming space for both pets and their owners,” she explains. “The idea was to offer high-quality veterinary care while also providing a relaxing, enjoyable environment for pets.”

During her time at Pet Paradise, Jaime also focused on addressing some of the biggest challenges in veterinary care, including the high turnover rate among veterinarians. According to industry studies, veterinarians are more likely to experience burnout due to long hours, high stress, and physical demands. Jaime’s solution was to prioritize work-life balance for her team. She introduced flexible work schedules, mental health resources, and training programs to support employees. “Veterinary professionals are incredibly dedicated, but they also need support to sustain that level of care,” she says. Beyond her day-to-day work, Jaime is actively involved in philanthropy and education. She has pledged over $200,000 to support future veterinarians and healthcare professionals.
